  7. Is this meant to be ironic? Not-Superman after not helping humanity, kills humanity for the stuff he was doing? Why is Not-Superman such a dick?

He explicitly says he has not right to decide who lives or dies but then takes it upon himself to kill everyone. Like stick to an ideology Not-Superman.

    1. Looks like he decided humanity should not decide who lives or dies on the planet humans are planning to invade.

  21. Excelente, solo una pequeña observacion, en la pagina 4 en lugar de decir "more enough for everybody", debe de decir "more than enough for everybody"

    Saludos y sigan asi!

  22. Fantastic artwork, but I can't say the same about the story. On the one hand, it feels like a more nihilistic take on a theme already explored by 'Whatever Happened to the Man of Tomorrow'. Plus, it's pretty ironic that Superman here is so happy that there's no competition among the primitive alien animals he's found. No competition? Whether they're supposed to be sentient or not, competition is the way of all life. nature, red in tooth and claw, green in root and vine. For that matter, he says humanity is supposed to evolve. How does he think evolution works, anyway? And, of course, it's the height of hypocrisy for Superman to say he can't decide who lives and dies, and then destroy an entire planet. I guess every single person on Earth was all for invading another planet? Not a single dissenter? Hey, there's that cooperation he felt humanity needed, finally!

Anyway, it's still great to see another interpretation of such an iconic character, and I genuinely look forward to seeing what comes next.

  26. Amazing work with fantastic story! Short and sweet.

    ResponderEliminar
  27. Superman doesn't really seem to understand evolution. Evolution requires competition. So even his precious primitive alien animals have competition in them. Otherwise they wouldn't exist. But I liked the comic, I hope to see more in the future.

  28. LOVED IT. Much more than "The Deal" despite bats being my most fav fictional character. Next Wonder Woman I guess to complete the triangle? :)
And please keep up the excellent work! Want more :D

  29. I'm assuming Superman is symbolic of the Christian God who loved humanity, grew to hate, and wrought the apocalypse upon it. Interesting.

    1. It seems like Superman is the Anti-god. Like the Christian god in reverse. His story starts very Jesus like. Then you see him a a more powerful god like being that seems to have a disdain against humanity and eventually he destroys it.

      Eliminar
    2. No it is not like the Christian God in reverse, it is exactly what the biblical God did do. He looked at humanity and didn't like where they were going so killed them all in 'the great flood'. He massacres the entire planet except for one family and some animals, this story is very similar.

  30. I think its funny superman presents a very moral outlook on life but it is seemingly devoid of a deity. It doesnt make sense really.

Void of God it is the strong that determine what is right and wrong. Its darwinian survival of the fittest. Its science. Why he gets so upset about the poor getting shafted and innocent species getting wiped out really makes no logical sense

    ResponderEliminar

    1. I disagree. Morality is the way you decide to behave around other people and you can be an empathic and caring person while being an atheist. In fact, this same kind of simplistic approach to morality can be used the other way around: one could say that having a God to forgive you for what wrongs you may have done takes away the responsiblity of being a moral person on your everyday life.

  31. Oh man!! I love your work! It will be great if you do a version in Spanish and French so that more people can read them without problems.

  32. sorprendente!!!! me encanto. Creo que era logico, superman tenia que evolucionar para ser el protector del universo y no solo del planeta tierra.

  36. Really awesome work. Beautiful and inspiring I think. There's a lot of meaning behind that and it's gracefully introduce in this comics. Great job! It was my great discover of the day! :D

    ResponderEliminar
  37. Yeah. I think I like this. I think so.

    ResponderEliminar
  38. This comic makes some awfully immature and inaccurate assumptions about... well, everything. The message it sends is utterly rubbish.

    ResponderEliminar
  39. Exageradamente bueno, gran conflicto moral.
esa decision abarcaria a inocentes. Creo que mas bien habria combatido las naves invasoras. Como sea, un gran comic. Me encanto!

  40. Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better then the Batman one. Still, it explores themes that have been explored by names such as Alan Moore and Grant Morrison, and it suffers considerably by comparison.

    ResponderEliminar
  41. The concepts of these comics both Bats and Supes are disastrous, they fail to understand the characters at all.

    ResponderEliminar
  42. great art, but you don't understand superman at all

    ResponderEliminar
  43. I really liked this take on Superman: it's thought provoking and a logical progression of the current take on the Superman character as depicted in the Man Of Steel movie. It's disturbing that a fictional character now has to become a religious icon, and I wonder what it really says about our society?

  51. The art is quite good and very well done. As for the story, it's sad that the authors have such a bleak outlook on humanity and that Superman ends up being just as uncaring and shallow as the humans he passes judgement on.

    1. It is the same story as in the Bible, God looks, decides the people he used to love aren't worth saving and kills them all.

  52. Found the link to this on Sisky's page. Love it! Some might say it's a satire or too cyncial. I believe it strikes the right balance, and feels like the type of situation Superman might actually have to deal with some day. Awesome stuff. Love it!

  53. Excelente, fue un final inevitable.

  54. I like it. The artwork is excellent; the story is very deep. I bet it's based on true life. I hope to see more of your work.

  55. I loved it, although I would have liked to see him defend the planet they are about to invade rather than destroy the whole earth and its inhabitants, which must still be many innocent people, but this seems to be a superman who has completely lost faith in humanity, justifying his action, although not very superman. Excellent work, I really liked it.

  58. Have you guy's read "Lex Luthor: Man of Steel"? It's a TPB collection (5-6 issues) that explores concepts similar to what you're using here, but on the humans' side. Lex talks about what if Superman (like your godly hero) one day decides that he doesn't want to help anymore? Why should we need his help anyway? Shouldn't he be evolving ourselves and fixing our own problems instead of being pampered by him? What if he one day (again, like your hero) decides we aren't worth saving anymore? What if he decides that it would actually be better to end our existance? And why do we empower such beings?

If you haven't, you should definitely give it a try.

  59. Great stuff. A simple, great story, but what really knocks it out of the park is that art. I can tell the writer will do some really good comics, but artist has the potential to do some of the best work in the industry. Keep it up.

  60. I will give you one silly idea for an alternative end of this great comic. Add a little pod ship flying away in space from earth with a little baby inside. Like the story is repeating itself one more time. Great work!
